John Clarke, a poet and writer, has led groups at the Library of Congress and many other venues, with participants of various ages and walks of life sharing responses to stories and poems.
He has a B.A. in literature and philosophy from the University of Notre Dame; has studied at Yale Graduate and Law schools, the University of Iowa, the Writer's Center in Bethesda; as well as many programs and workshops for sharing group responses to stories, poems,music, art, etc.
He retired from the Library of Congress (LOC) after nearly thirty years as a legislative analyst in the LOC Congressional Research Service. Born and raised in New York City, he has lived and travelled in many areas of North America and Europe, This is his first year living in Leisure World.
