Book Discussion - "Hillbilly Elegy" by J.D. Vance

This book is currently a best seller. Vance writes about his own childhood and inparticular offers insight and explanation into a segment of the culture of those who left the Democratic party and supported Donald Trump. The book has been described as in the genre of "Between the World and Me," by Ta-Nehisi Coates.

One session will be on the book itself; the second session on what the book may say about our political direction.
