Arch Campbell
Washington television veteran Arch Campbell will share stories and anecdotes about his years in television news before the internet. He became a popular member of the “dream team” of NBC4 in Washington when he joined Jim Vance, Doreen Gentzler, and Bob Ryan and George Michael.
Kathy Vance, a television producer and former executive at NBC4, will interview Campbell about his experiences and his new book on Tuesday, July 8, at 2 p.m. in the Clubhouse II Auditorium. Cambell’s memoir, “The Accidental Critic,” describes the friendships, adventures and pranks of the NBC4 group. Television news in the 1970’s and 80’s was driven more by personality and playful stories. This led to Cambell becoming a well-known celebrity and to his long career creating award-winning entertainment.
Come hear this “local legend” describe personalities and anecdotes from his decades of reporting on movies and theatre.
